Here’s a concise and professional write-up you can use or adapt for internal communication, notices, or fire safety policies:

🔥 Fire Safety Protocol: Switching Off Electrical Equipment Before Leaving Office

To ensure a safe and secure workplace environment, all employees must adhere to the following fire safety procedure:

Mandatory Protocol Before Leaving Office

All staff are required to:

  1. Switch off electrical equipment such as:
    • Computers, monitors, and docking stations
    • Printers, scanners, and photocopiers
    • Coffee machines, microwaves, and other pantry appliances
    • Chargers, fans, air purifiers, and portable heaters
    • Any device not in use after working hours
  2. Turn off lights and AC units (unless designated for overnight operation or controlled by facilities).
  3. Unplug high-risk equipment (e.g., electric kettles, irons, space heaters) from sockets, especially in shared or pantry areas.
  4. Ensure surge protectors and power strips are switched off when not in use.

🔐 Additional Reminders:

  • Do not leave charging devices unattended overnight.
  • Report any loose wires, sparks, or overheating equipment to the Admin/Safety Officer immediately.
  • Emergency exits must be kept unobstructed at all times.
