Central Railway’s Mumbai Suburban Network, now increased to a total of 481 services for Essential Staff – Time Table with effect from 15.10.2025

Additional 28 services to the existing 453 services

Central Railway currently operates 453 special suburban services for staff as notified by Government of Maharashtra. In order to maintain social distancing and avoid crowding, Central Railway has taken the decision to increase the number of daily special suburban services from 453 to 481 from 15th October, 2025. The time table is being prepared for additional 219 suburban services to make it to 700 suburban services shortly.

Suburban Trains are permitted to leave up to 3 minutes before the scheduled departure at en route stations. However, at originating stations train will leave only at scheduled departure time

📅 New Timetable Effective Date: October 5, 2025

The revised Central Railway Main Line timetable—covering CSMT ↔ Kalyan/Kasara/Khopoli and harbor/trans‑harbour corridors—has been in effect since October 5, 2024 and remains current for October 2025 travel. Over 80 suburban services on CR’s Main Line have updated timings, train numbers, originating or terminating stations, and service routes.

Central Line (CSMT → Kalyan / Kasara / Karjat / Khopoli)

  • Extensions:
    • 21 services previously terminating at Dadar now run through to Parel.
    • 6 services that ended at Thane now extended up to Kalyan.
  • Fast locals: 20 pairs now originate/terminate from Dadar instead of CSMT, easing congestion.
  • Some morning/evening fast trains now include additional stops at Kalwa and Mumbra during peak hours.

Harbour, Trans‑Harbour & Port Lines

  • Timetables for the Harbour Line (CSMT ↔ Goregaon), Port Line, and Trans-Harbour Line (Vashi–Panvel/Karjat corridor) were last updated in 2025 and remain valid as of mid‑2025. Expansion, particularly on the Panvel–Karjat corridor, is expected to be operational by end-2025, potentially including timetable changes.

  • Train numbering system follows codes like:
    • N1 (CSMT → Kasara), S1 (CSMT → Karjat), T1/T2 for Thane-originating locals.
  • Sample earliest departures (Main Line Down at 05:00–05:20 AM):
    • SKP1 (CSMT → Kalyan) at 05:00
    • TK1 (Thane → Kalyan) at 05:04
    • Last departures such as S1 at 00:12 AM (to Karjat), N1 at 00:08 AM (to Kasara)
