I couldn’t locate any official information indicating that Central Railway began operating “9 pairs of special trains daily from 1 June 2025.” However, here’s what the verified sources reveal:

🔍 What Central Railway Did Actually Do (Summer 2025)

  • Central Railway (Mumbai Division) ran a substantial fleet of summer special trains, but not under a count of 9 daily pairs from 1 June.
  • Summertime operations included:
    • 356 summer-special train services across Central Railway zones between April 1 and June 29, 2025. Reservations opened in late March.
    • 332 of these trains originated from the Mumbai Division, covering routes like CSMT–Nagpur, LTT–Karmali, LTT–Nanded, Pune–Nagpur, and Daund–Kalaburagi.
    • Additional 24 trips were added mid-season, bringing the total to 356.

🚫 Clarifying the “9 Pairs Daily” Claim

Claim Verified Status Explanation
9 pairs of special trains daily starting 1 June 2025 ❌ Not confirmed No press release supports this claim
Central Railway ran special trains in summer 2025 ✅ Confirmed: 356 trains total Seasonal special services from April through June

ℹ️ What Likely Happened

  • The statement may stem from confusion between daily and weekly frequencies. Most Central Railway special trains had weekly frequency rather than daily pairs.
  • Alternatively, it might refer to East Central Railway, which operated multiple daily special pairs in summer 2025, but this is unrelated to Central Railway’s operations.

✅ Summary Takeaway

  • Central Railway did not launch any official “nine daily pairs” of special trains from 1 June 2025.
  • Instead, they operated a broader seasonal schedule—356 total services, primarily weekly specials, extended through late June.
  • No specific six/9-pair daily special operations have been noted for June 1 onward in official or news sources.
