Railways will allow women to travel on suburban trains from 21 Oct between 11 am to 3 pm & after 7 pm.
We were always ready and with the receipt of letter from Maharashtra Govt today, we have allowed this travel.

Central Railway’s Mumbai Suburban Network, Local train services now increased to a total of 706 services for Essential Staff as identified by State Government and approved by Ministry of Railways- Main line Time Table with effect from 19.10.2025.

Suburban Trains are permitted to leave up to 3 minutes before the scheduled departure at en route stations. However, at originating stations train will leave only at scheduled departure time

- The GRP, Home Guard and RPF personnel are stationed onboard and on platforms—especially between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM —to help safeguard female passengers and prevent unauthorized access to reserved coaches.
- Over 41,000 men were fined recently for illegally occupying coaches reserved for disabled commuters—demonstrating strong enforcement on Mumbai’s suburban lines.
