It has been decided by Ministry of Railways that ATVM smart cards whose validity expired on or after 22.3.2025 or will expire up to 30.6.2025 shall be treated as valid till 30.9.2025, in view of the Lockdown.

- The facilitator scheme, which allows retired railway employees to support ATVM operations, has been officially extended until March 31, 2025, ensuring continued service availability and support infrastructure.

- Validity Period: Each time you recharge (minimum ₹100), your Smart Card stays valid for one year.
- Reactivation: If your card expires, simply recharge it again at any ATVM kiosk or using the UTS on Mobile platform to reactivate.
- Recharge Options:
- In-person at ATVM kiosks.
- Online via UTS on Mobile: Enter your 9-digit card number, pay digitally (UPI, debit/credit card), then validate at any ATVM machine nearby.
- Card Costs: Initial cost around ₹70 (₹50 refundable deposit + ₹20 minimum recharge value). Full balance is refundable.
