Cancellation deductions are per passenger:

  • More than 48 hours before departure:
    • AC First Class / Executive Class: ₹240
    • AC 2-Tier / First Class: ₹200
    • AC 3-Tier / AC Chair Car / 3A Economy: ₹180

  • Between 12 and 4 hours before departure (or until chart preparation):
    • 50% of fare, subject to the minimum flat cancellation charge.

2. After Chart Preparation or Post-Cutoff

  • Confirmed e‑tickets cannot be cancelled after chart is prepared.
  • Refunds may be possible via TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) if filed online before departure, but this typically doesn’t guarantee full refund.

3. No Refund Scenarios

  • No refund if ticket isn’t cancelled or TDR is not filed within 4 hours before departure.
  • Applies even for confirmed tickets; no refund is processed after the cutoff.

4. Special Case: Auto‑Cancelled or Late Running (>3 Hours Delay)

  • Full refund (no deduction) if:
    • Ticket gets auto‑cancelled (e.g. WL or RAC not confirmed in chart), or
    • Train is cancelled or delayed by more than 3 hours and cancellation/TDR is filed in time.

5. Example Table (AC 3A Passenger Fare ₹3,000)
