Cancellation of Ticket Booked in Premium Special Trains-IRCTC Refund Rules
Cancellation of CNF/RAC ticket booked in Premium Special Trains is not allowed. However, ticket can be cancelled only if the train is cancelled. Refund will be granted by PRS system as per extant Railway Refund Rules.

๐ด 1. Confirmed Tickets
- No refund at all on confirmed tickets if cancelled by the passenger, regardless of when it’s cancelled.
- Applies even if cancelled well before departure.

Full refund if ticket is fully waitlisted and:
- Cancelled before chart preparation, or
- Auto-cancelled after charting (if booked as an e-ticket)
๐ก 3. Partially Confirmed Tickets
- Confirmed passengers: โ No refund.
- Waitlisted passengers: โ Can get refund only if they didnโt travel, by filing a TDR within the allowed time.

- Same as partially confirmed tickets:
- No refund for RAC/Confirmed passengers after charting.
- โ File TDR only if not travelled.

TDR (Ticket Deposit Receipt) may be filed only for valid reasons, such as:
- Train cancelled
- Train running late >3 hours and passenger didnโt travel
- Coach not attached
โ Refund is not guaranteed unless the reason is covered under IRCTC TDR policy and approved by railway authorities.
