Railways will introduce Western Zone Time Table effective from 1.7.2025.The salient features of the new time table pertaining to Central Railway is as under:
Increase in frequency
11139/11140 CSMT-Gadag Express (six days a week) to daily from 1.10.2025
Change of Express train to Superfast Train
11051/11052 Solapur-Kolhapur Express will run as Superfast from 1.7.2025 with new number as 22133/22134. Pending superfast charges of passengers who have booked their tickets in Train no 11051/52 will be collected at the time of journey.
Cancellation of services
17321 Hubballi-LTT Express cancelled with effect from 5.10.2025
17322 LTT-Hubballi Express cancelled with effect from 6.10.2025
Acceleration of Trains from 1.7.2025
29 Express trains of Central Railway have been speeded up on its system by 3 minutes to 20 minutes; Solapur-Kolhapur Express speeded up by 65 minutes and Kolhapur-Solapur Express speeded up by 120 minutes.
10 Express trains of Central Railway have been speeded up from 10 minutes to 30 minutes from end to end.
30 passenger trains of Central Railway have been speeded up by 5 minutes to 35 minutes.

General Overhaul
- The “Trains at a Glance 2025” timetable was implemented across Indian Railways starting January 1, 2025, and Central Railway introduced significant changes under this update. These include:
- Introduction of new Mail/Express train services
- Extensions of existing trains
- Renumbering of certain trains
- Additional stoppages added
- Frequency adjustments for a number of services
Sample New Services
- New Daily Expresses:
- 11201/11202: Running between Nagpur ↔ SDL (likely Secunderabad)
- 11011/11012: Operating between CSMT (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai) ↔ DHI
- 51119/51120: Passenger service between Wardha ↔ Kalamb, running 5 days a week
Suburban (Mumbai) Network (October 2025 Update)
While not part of the 2025 rollout, it’s worth noting recent revisions in CR’s suburban timetable:
- From October 5, 2025, mainline suburban services were revamped:
- Several trains extended from Dadar to Parel
- Additional services from Thane to Kalyan
- New platforms at Dadar utilized to reduce crowding at CSMT
- Revised timings and train numbers, plus added weekday halts at Kalva and Mumbra during peak hours
Special Operations during Maha Kumbh-2025
- From January 8 to February 20, 2025, CR ran 823 train services from Mumbai alone (708 from LTT and 115 from CSMT) to support pilgrims traveling to the Kumbh Mela.
- These included thousands of additional stoppages across stations like Thane, Kalyan, Bhusawal, Nashik, Manmad, and Betul—highlighting SCR’s large-scale operational adjustments for the event.
