(A Govt. of India enterprise) as part of the Centenary of arrival of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi to India, the preacher of non violence and the arrival of “Ähimsa” to the world has programmed and launched an exclusive tourist train from Madurai o­n 30.09.2015 o­n a 6 day tour covering Historical Sites in Delhi linked to Mahatma Gandhi and visit to Agra.The special tourist train embarks o­n a mission to rekindle the ideas and philosophies of the father of the nation.Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi returned to India from South Africa along with his wife Kasturba o­n January 9, 1915.

The Gandhi Special tourist train from Madurai has been routed via Dindigul – Karur – Erode – Salem, Katpadi – and Chennai as boarding stations facilitating the public with emphasis o­n students across various cities / towns to board the tourist train.The special tourist train helps students realize the pain staking efforts by our leaders who gave their yesterday for a better tomorrow for us all.Parents and teachers are highly encouraged to make use of this opportunity to inspire student about the legends of this Great Nation.
