I wasn’t able to locate any Ganpati Special Train running directly between Mumbai and Mangaluru (Mangaluru Central) for Ganesh Chaturthi 2025. Here’s what’s available:

🚆 Regular Konkan & Southern Connections (Not Ganpati Specials)

  • The Matsyagandha Express (12619/12620) is a daily regular superfast train operating between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) and Mangaluru Central, covering the distance in ~16 h 10 m with LHB coaches. This service is not a special fare train—there’s no indication of it being scheduled as a Ganpati Special for festival travel.
  • The Mumbai–Mangaluru Superfast Express (12133/12134) also runs daily and is not part of Ganpati special services.

❌ Ganpati Specials Do NOT Include Mangaluru Route

  • Western Railway’s 2025 Ganpati Special schedule covers only five key routes:
    • Mumbai Central ↔ Thokur
    • Mumbai Central ↔ Sawantwadi Road
    • Bandra Terminus ↔ Ratnagiri
    • Vadodara ↔ Ratnagiri
    • Vishvamitri (Vadodara) ↔ Ratnagiri
  • Despite its significant demand, Mumbai–Mangaluru is not part of this special schedule. No official source lists any Ganpati‑labeled special trains reaching Mangaluru for Garhpal travel.

✅ What Should You Do If Traveling to Mangaluru

Option Details
Regular Daily Trains Use Matsyagandha Express (12619/12620) or 12133/12134, both fully reserved and operational during the festival.
Mandal Enhancements While no designated Ganpati special exists, these regular services will run on all days, including the Ganpati period.
Booking Book via IRCTC or PRS at least 60 days in advance for these daily services.
Alternate Route If you’re looking for festival connectivity across Konkan, use Western or Central Railway specials to Ratnagiri / Madgaon and then connect onward via reservation.

🧭 In Summary

  • There are no Ganpati Special Trains between Mumbai and Mangaluru in 2025, per available WR and CR releases.
  • The Matsyagandha Express and Mumbai–Mangaluru SF Express continue to operate as daily reserved trains—not under ‘special fare’ designation.
  • If you need detailed timetable, fare info, or assistance in booking weekly services like 12619 or 12133, I’d be glad to help!

Let me know if you’d like to explore other Konkan routes or plan connecting itineraries via Madgaon or Ratnagiri.
