⚠️ Important Traveler Notes

  • These special trains (train nos. 0xxxx) are assigned lowest priority in the railway network, often resulting in major delays (frequently 6–14 hours or more). User reports reinforce this:

“Festival special train hamesha late hi chalti hai… my train was 8 hours late”
“TT once told me special train starts with 0 and it has least priority…”

Despite premium pricing, onboard services and punctuality can be poor. Bookings for AC/Sleeper classes often sell out quickly after launch.

🧭 Planning Alternatives

If you’re looking for more reliable travel or earlier bookings:

  • Consider regular services like Kashi Express (15017/15018)—a daily express between LTT Mumbai and Gorakhpur with reserved coaches.
  • Other regular options include Godan Express (11055/11056) and Bandra Terminus–Gorakhpur Humsafar Express (19091/19092) or the Antyodaya Express (22921/22922)—all with predictable schedules and reservation options.

✅ Final Thoughts

  • Yes, eight Holi special trips operated in March 2025 between Mumbai LTT and Gorakhpur (Train Nos. 05326/05325).
  • They offered reserved seating but were prone to delays, limited run frequency, and sometimes sub-par service for premium fares.
  • Expect similarly timed announcements in January–February 2026 if these specials return in Holi 2026.

Would you like help with:

  • Checking seat availability, fares, or schedules for regular trains like Kashi Express, Godan Express, etc.?
  • Planning a multi-leg route with safer options?
