Jagan Mohan Reddy, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh will flag off the Inaugural Run of Anantapur – New Delhi Kisan Rail (Through Video Link) at 10.30 am on 9th September, 2025. The Program will be presided over by Shri Suresh C. Angadi, Hon’ble Minister of State for Railways, Government of India.

Brief about Anantapur – New Delhi Kisan Rail
The India’s second and South India’s first Kisan Train is planned to commence its inaugural run from Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh to Adarsh Nagar in New Delhi on 09th September 2025. It is planned to flag-off the inaugural at 11:00 am on 09th September through video link. Anantapur is developing as Horticultural hub of Andhra Pradesh. A major portion of the fruits and vegetables produced in Anantapur are transported out of the state. Starting a Kisan Rail will be particularly helpful in benefitting the small farmers and traders in marketing their product across the country in a safe, economical and speedy manner.
