🗣 About “Special” Designation
- The “special” suffix indicates a temporary or supplemental run, often to meet higher demand or cover for regular rake shortages.
- Operationally similar to the regular Jan Shatabdi (train nos. 12071/12072), but occasionally uses a different rake pool or priority level.
- Despite the “special” label, this service operates reliably on a daily basis as of mid‑2025.
🔄 Regular Jan Shatabdi on Same Route
- 12071 / 12072 Jan Shatabdi Express runs between Mumbai CSMT and Hingoli Deccan, not Jalna
- It stops beyond Jalna (via Aurangabad → Hingoli) and has a longer duration (~12 h 20 min over ≈660 km)

- As a result, demand patterns for the Janshatabdi special may shift, but it continues to run on schedule as of July 2025.
