Mega Block on Sunday 19.07.2025
Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate Mega Block on its suburban sections for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works on Sunday 19th July 2025.
MAIN LINE
Thane – Kalyan Up and Dn fast lines from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm
Dn fast special services leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus from 8.55 am to 2.17 pm will be diverted on Dn slow line between Thane and Kalyan, halting as per respective scheduled halts.
Up fast special services leaving Kalyan from 9.47 am to 2.47 pm will be diverted on Up slow line between Kalyan and Thane halting as per respective scheduled halts and further rediverted on Up fast line at Thane.
Up fast special services will arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus 10 minutes behind schedule.
HARBOUR LINE
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus – Chunabhatti Dn harbour line from 11.25 am to 4.25 pm
Chunabhatti – Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Up harbour line from 10.40 am to 3.40 pm
Dn Harbour line special services to Panvel leaving Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 11.15 am to 4.00 pm will remain suspended.
Up Harbour line special services towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai leaving Panvel from 9.45 am to 2.41 pm will remain suspended.
However, special local trains will run on Panvel – Kurla (PlatformNo.8) – Panvel section during the block period.
Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via Main line during the block period.
These maintenance mega blocks are essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
Suburban services will not be for general passengers/ public & will be strictly for essential staff, as identified by the State Government only.
It is also requested that travellers to follow all protocols as mandated for COVID19.
The public is requested not to believe any rumours and not rush to the stations.

- A planned mega block has been announced for Central, Harbour, and Western Lines to conduct essential maintenance and safety-related infrastructure work
🚆 Central Line (Main Line)
- Route affected: CSMT – Vidyavihar up to slow lines
- Block timings: 10:55 AM to 3:55 PM
- Operational adjustments:
- All down slow services departing CSMT between 10:48 and 15:45 hrs will be diverted to the fast line and make unscheduled stops at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, Kurla, before rejoining the slow line at Vidyavihar.
- All up slow services from Ghatkopar between 10:19 and 15:52 hrs will similarly be diverted to the fast line via Vidyavihar, rejoining normal service before CSMT.
- Expect delays of approximately 10–15 minutes due to rerouting
🚉 Harbour Line
- Section impacted: CSMT to Bandra/Chunabhatti
- Block period: 11:10 AM to 4:40 PM
- Service changes:
- Services from CSMT to Vashi, Belapur, Panvel between 11:16 and 16:47 hrs are cancelled.
- Services from Bandra/Goregaon to CSMT between 10:48 and 16:43 hrs are cancelled.
- Special shuttle runs: Operating CSMT ↔ Kurla, and Panvel ↔ Kurla during the block.
- Travelling passengers on Harbour line may use alternate routes via the Main Line or Western Railway during the maintenance window (10:00 AM–6:00 PM)
🚄 Western Line
- Block: Western Railway has declared a “Jumbo Block” instead of a Mega Block.
- Affected section: Slow lines between Goregaon and Borivali
- Timing: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Diversions:
- Slow-line trains will run on fast lines; certain services may be cancelled.
- Trains from Borivali platforms 1–4 will not operate during this block
