Vide reference above, Model Schedule of Powers (SOP) was issued in October, 2025.
2. The document has been revised with the approval of Board (FC & CRB) and “Model SOP 2025” is being issued. It supersedes the Model SOP of October 2025. A copy of the Model SOP 2025 has been uploaded on website http://www.indianrailwavs.gov.in/railwavboard/ for implementation.
3. This issues with the concurrence of Associate Finance of Transformation Cell.
Kindly acknowledge receipt and ensure compliance.

- The Model SOP 2025 is still the active document governing delegation across Zonal Railways, Production Units, RDSO, and NAIR. It covers key domains like Works, Stores, Medical, Commercial, Establishment, RPF, and Miscellaneous matters.
Recent Update: Corrigendum Slip No. 10 (2025)
- Corrigendum Slip No. 10, issued in September 2025, added crucial delegation—for procurement of services via GeM (Government e-Marketplace). It empowers zonal authorities (GMs/DRMs) to approve exceptions only if justified, maintaining alignment with transparency and financial norms.
Continuous Evolution, Not Reissuance
- Rather than a full reissue, the SOP adapts through corrigenda and local modifications by Zones, subject to Railway Board guidelines.
- The 2025 framework remains the central document, and there’s no separate “SOP 2025” published to date.
