New Year ticket booking start last week. Because of Advance reservations are made generally up to 120 days in advance for all classes and all trains. The period of advance reservation (ARP) is exclusive of the day of departure of the train. But every year ticket booking opening with in a week ticket reservation complete. - Western Railway introduced 8 special suburban services between Churchgate ↔ Virar, running from late night on December 31, 2025 into early January 1, 2025 :
Churchgate → Virar
- 1:15 AM → 2:55 AM
- 2:00 AM → 3:40 AM
- 2:30 AM → 4:10 AM
- 3:25 AM → 5:05 AM
Virar → Churchgate
- 12:15 AM → 1:52 AM
- 12:45 AM → 2:22 AM
- 1:40 AM → 3:17 AM
- 3:05 AM → 4:41 AM
- Central Railway ran 4 special services on New Year’s Eve on the CSMT–Kalyan and CSMT–Panvel routes:
Main Line (CSMT ↔ Kalyan)
- 1:30 AM departures in both directions.
Harbour Line (CSMT ↔ Panvel)
- Another pair of 1:30 AM departures/beginnings for island commuters.
Long-Distance One-Way Specials by Western Railway
To manage year-end travel demand:
- Train No. 09005 (Udhna → Prayagraj Junction)
- Departs Dec 31, 2024 at 6:40 AM, arrives 10:10 AM next day.
- Train No. 09009 (Valsad → Prayagraj Junction)
- Departs Jan 1, 2025 at 8:40 AM, arrives 10:25 AM next day.
