Jan Shatabdi Express: Is Concession Allowed?
Yes! Since May 15, 2025, patients eligible for concessions in mail/express trains can also avail concession in Second Class & AC Chair Car on Jan Shatabdi Express.

Additional Insights
A user on Reddit shared experience:
“Full free for the patient, 50% for the attendant…” for cancer patients.
“Please go to the nearest booking counter, they will be able to help.”
However, a more recent Reddit post raises concerns:
“Concession is still there but you can’t get confirmed tickets… they removed the confirmed ticket quota for cancer patients.”
This suggests that while concession eligibility remains, availability of confirmed seats is not guaranteed—especially for high-demand trains. Still, the concession rules stand officially.
