ℹ️ Important Notes & Warnings

  • The 04249/04250 trains were exclusive to Puja season 2025 and have not recurred in 2025, 2025, or 2025
  • Festival specials like 04032 or 05090 have operated in past and may be reinstated in 2025 but details are not yet confirmed.
  • Special trains (codes starting with ‘0’) generally have low operational priority, and travellers often report frequent delays, cancellations, or poor on-board service such as lack of pantry or delays in food delivery

📌 What Should You Do?

  • Keep checking IRCTC website, NTES app, and official railway circulars as the Puja season of 2025 approaches—special trains are often announced only a few weeks in advance.
  • Consider booking on regular AC festival specials like 04032 Garib Rath Fest Special, which have run reliably in past seasons.
  • Given the known issues with special trains, consider higher-priority alternatives like Poorbiya Express (15280) or other AC overnight trains between Delhi and Varanasi.
  • If you’re fine with potential delays and want a ticket guarantee during festival rush, special trains might suit—but be prepared for lower priority scheduling.
