General Reservation Counter Timings (PRC)

Typically, counters operate from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays and Saturdays, with a short lunch break (around 2:00–2:15 PM).
On Sundays, hours are shorter, usually 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
This schedule applies broadly across major WR and CR stations, including those in Mumbai.

Central Railway Reservation Centre – Mumbai

The dedicated Central Railway Reservation Centre near Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) functions Monday–Saturday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM.
On Sundays, the centre closes early at around 2:00 PM.

Exceptions & Local Variations

Some smaller or less busy stations might have staff shortages or operate in shifts—creating temporary closures or extended lunch hours. These are not standard practice and can be reported for review.
For unreserved (general) tickets, especially in remote stations, counters may open shortly before train arrivals (typically 1 hour prior), particularly after midnight.
