I couldn’t find specific details about a new suburban timetable for South Eastern Railway (SER) for 2025–’24. However, here’s what is available and helpful:
What We Know About SER Time Table Changes
- As part of the national “Trains at a Glance 2025” rollout (effective January 1, 2025), SER implemented:
- Revised timings, frequencies, and stoppages for over 250 trains, including local and suburban services
- Train number changes for about 173 MEMU/Passenger trains, and 2 Express trains
- Timetable updates affecting originating timings from major junctions like Tatanagar, Rourkela, Hatia, and Ranchi
- SER officially mentions “continuation of SER special trains” and “change in originating timings of SER trains effective from 01.01.2025”, but without any public details on suburban-specific schedules
- Historical EMU timetables—such as between Howrah and Kharagpur—exist but are dated (e.g. a Scribd document, last updated in 2011) and not indicative of current schedules
What This Means for SER Suburban Passengers
Insight | Details |
---|---|
No dedicated suburban timetable published for 2025 | Suburban/local services are included in broader overall timetable updates |
Many suburban trains affected | Renumbering and revised timings likely extend to suburban services, given the scope of the update |
Official SER website lacks specifics | No standalone suburban schedule or brochure is currently online |
What You Can Do Next
- Use the NTES portal or IRCTC app to look up real-time or scheduled suburban local trains—especially for corridors like Howrah–Kharagpur, Panskura–Haldia, and Shalimar–Amta.
- Station inquiry counters or local station notice boards often display the latest suburban time tables.
- SER’s public relations office or customer care channels might provide downloadable PDFs or print versions on request.
Let me know if you’d like assistance finding specific suburban train timings or routes—I can help fetch that info using NTES or other tools!
