I couldn’t find any official confirmation that South Eastern Railway (SER) began operating exactly 9 pairs of special trains daily from June 1, 2025. However, here’s what is verified based on current news and official updates:

🔍 What SER Actually Did in Summer 2025

  • SER introduced specific special trains from Ranchi to New Delhi and Rajasthan—operating on selected dates from April to June 2025. These were weekly or fortnightly specials, not daily pair operations.
  • Very limited special deployments within SER’s jurisdiction were part of broader Indian Railways seasonal planning. No announcements were made about running 9 pairs daily starting June 1.

❌ What the “9 Pairs Daily” Claim Likely Refers To

Claim Verified Status Notes
SER ran 9 daily special train pairs from 1 June ❌ Not confirmed No official or media source supports this
SER operated special trains in summer 2025 ✅ Yes Limited route-specific specials like Ranchi–Delhi
Most specials weekly/fixed dates, not daily ✅ Yes Confirmed June 2025 schedule was limited

✅ What Actually Happened

  • SER operated a handful of special trains (e.g. Ranchi–New Delhi—02877/02878) on specified scheduled dates in summer 2025.
  • No large-scale daily special service deployment (like 9 pairs daily) was documented.
  • Most of SER’s special deployments aligned with broader Railways planning, not standalone daily operations from June 1.

🧠 What It Could Mean

  • Perhaps confusion has arisen with East Central Railway (ECR) or other zones, which did operate larger daily special services.
  • Or “9 pairs” may refer to different service categories (e.g. MEMU or short-route regular expansions) rather than SER’s long-distance specials.

Would you like help exploring:

  • A full train-specific list of SER special services from summer 2025?
  • Train numbers, route details, timings, stoppage lists, or booking rules for those specific specials?
  • A comparison of special train deployments across different zones like ECR, SCR, or Central Railway?

I’m happy to dig into zone-specific details if you have a particular region or train in mind!
