In order to clear extra rush of passengers, South Central Railway will run 26 Summer Special Trains between Hyderabad-Trivandrum-Hyderabad as detailed below: –

Hyderabad – Kochuveli – Hyderabad Special Train (26 Services):-

Train No. 07115 Hyderabad – Kochuveli Special Train will depart Hyderabad at 21.00 hrs on 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th March. 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th April. 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th May, 2025 (Saturday) and arrive Kochuveli at 03.20 hrs on Mondays.

In the return direction, Train No. 07116 Kochuveli – Hyderabad Special Train will depart Kochuveli at 07:45 hrs on 9th, 16th, 23rd. 30th March, 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th April, 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th May and 15th June, 2025(Monday) and arrive Hyderabad at 14:00 hrs on Tuesdays.

Enroute these special trains will also stop at Secunderabad. Nalgonda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, Ongole, Nellore. Gudur. Renigunta. Tirupati, Chittoor, Katpadi. Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode. Tiruppur, Coimbatore. Palghat, Ottapalem, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town. Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayankulam and Kollam stations in both the directions.

These trains will consist of viz., AC II tier. AC III tier, Sleeper Class and Luggage cum Brake van Coaches.

I couldn’t find any evidence of a dedicated Summer Special train running directly between Hyderabad (Secunderabad / Kacheguda) and Thiruvananthapuram / Ernakulam during summer 2025. However, the Sabari Express (Train Nos. 17229 / 17230) continues as the primary regular daily train connecting these cities:

🟧 No 2025 Summer Specials for Hyderabad–Trivandrum or Vice Versa

  • Despite South Central Railway running 38+ summer special trains during May–June 2025, none covered the Hyderabad ↔ Thiruvananthapuram corridor
  • Seasonal pilgrimage specials such as Hyderabad–Kollam (Train No. 07193) were operated, indicating focused target routes but not Hyderabad ↔ Trivandrum/Ernakulam directly

  • These services were primarily meant for pilgrimage and southern Andhra routes—not covering Kerala’s capital or Ernakulam zone directly.

✅ Recommendation & Tips

  • The Sabari Express is your most dependable option for this corridor if traveling in summer or otherwise.
  • If you prefer pinnacle speed and availability, book early especially in AC or Sleeper classes via IRCTC or NTES.
  • For alternate routing or cross-connections:
    • Consider breaking journey via Bangalore or Chennai then proceeding south.
    • For mid-season demand, monitor SCR’s press releases — occasional Thiruvananthapuram-bound specials emerge, but mostly seasonal
